Legion of Mary is an apostolic group who have accepted the invitation of Christ to join the Apostolate of the Church and who work under the banner of Blessed Virgin Mary; the commander-in-chief of this band of apostles. The very name “Legion of Mary” suggests that it stand in “battle array” at the service of the church.

The meeting begins with the invocation of the Holy Spirit followed by the recitation of the rosary, spiritual readings and reports of the apostolic work carried out by each member. The work ranges from home visitations, care of the sick and elderly, hospital visits, catechism classes etc.
